Once I was in a meeting with some friends, my friend Sara took me there to have some fun and that day I knew where she lives. The music to which we were listening was not familiar to me, actually I think that it was a specific kind of music that maybe gay people listen to.
Then my friend Sara introduced me to her best friend, a guy whose hair was dyed green, she said "this is my best friend, the boy about whom I told you".
Without thinking I said "I didn't know he was gay" and he heard it; I didn't even know wheter he was it or not, but he seemed to be ofended.
I was embarrassed and I didn't know what to do, Sara told me to apologize to him. The boy looked mad at me while I offered him an apology, I told him I was sorry, I tend to say whatever comes into my mind without being careful. He just started laughing and said to me not to worry because it was obvious he was gay, I stood there with a poker face and said nothing else, the rest of the meeting was nice, it was just another really weird moment in my life.
